Peptide Forms: Capsules, Sublingual, Drops

Three NPCRIZ peptide delivery forms

1. Capsules (60 capsules of 0.215 g)

The classic NPCRIZ form. Peptides are encapsulated in a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose shell resistant to stomach acid that dissolves only in the intestine. Peptides enter the bloodstream through the intestinal mucosa.

• Suits: long-term 30-day courses at a steady daily dose.
• Usage: 1–2 capsules twice daily with meals, with water.
• Pros: consistent dose, easy to remember, easy to carry.
• Cons: slower bloodstream entry; may be less effective in patients with impaired digestion.

2. Sublingual form (20 tablets of 0.15 g)

Faster absorption. The tablet dissolves under the tongue (typically 5–10 minutes), and peptides enter the bloodstream directly through the mucosa, bypassing the stomach and liver.

• Suits: patients with impaired digestion or liver disease; when faster onset of action is needed.
• Usage: 1 tablet twice daily under the tongue until fully dissolved. 10 min before meals or 30 min after meals.
• Pros: bypasses digestive degradation, faster action, lower effective dose.
• Cons: requires mindful dosing (the sublingual hold cannot be skipped).

3. Drops (PK series, 10 ml bottle)

Flexible dosing. The liquid form with a dropper allows precise dose adjustment by need — from 3 to 6 drops per dose.

• Suits: families (the same bottle works for different doses); patients who find tablets difficult to swallow.
• Usage: 3–6 drops twice daily — under the tongue, held for 1–2 minutes before swallowing.
• Pros: flexible dose, economical, fast absorption.
• Cons: requires daily dosing discipline; easy to contaminate if the dropper touches the tongue.
